week of 10/25/24

This week I finally made decent progress on my Balancing rig for my monorail. the rig has two motor mounts that are mounted on swivels, as well as geared to each other to sync their rotation. I also did some work on the CAD design for the train chassis.

Train chassis is still very preliminary and I will have to redesign it at some point, but this is works as a reference for now.

Balancing rig for the train. Only one motor is currently attached, waiting on new motors to arrive. Currently, this design is too wide to fit inside the current design of the train's chassis, so I will either need to redesign the rig or design a much wider body for the train. a wider body would cause problems as it would make the train tilt from side to side much easier than a narrower one, making the balancing rig less effective.
