week of 1/6

This week I made a lot of progress on my flywheel design, because I found out that the motors I have actually came with mounts to attach things. I modified my flywheels on the lathe to fit the mounts, and also fixed some imperfections that they previously had, and the new design is much more stable, meaning that it runs quieter and with much less vibration.

It still can't stay upright for more than a few seconds, but with a few more tweaks next week I'll probably have a model that can balance unsupported.
